Billy Mitchell, Director
Billy founded Sport Staff One in 2013 after discovering a shortage of qualified coaches & umpires for school sport. He is intent on improving the professionalism of grassroots competitions to make running sport easier and to provide better sporting outcomes for students. Billy is an Australian Rules Football umpire & coach and has been involved in sports administration for over a decade. His goal is develop the SSO team and our network of sport staff to provide the best possible service to our clients.
Jaimee Butler, Service Coordinator
Jaimee joined Sport Staff One in 2016 as Service Coordinator bringing a wealth of administration and customer service experience. As a sport enthusiast herself, Jaimee enjoys managing client requests and coordinating sport staff to ensure events run smoothly and on-time. Her friendly approach and high-level attention to detail has always been well received by clients, sport staff and colleagues in the office.
Mitch Gray, Manager of First Aid Services
Mitch joined Sport Staff One in 2018 to manage our First Aid Services nationally. With a passion for first aid and over nine years’ experience in sports medical services, Mitch has the knowledge and expertise to develop this area of the business. Mitch is also a school sport coordinator for SSV so his experience with planning and convening sport events has assisted us to develop a more specialised service.
Jake joined Sport Staff One in 2020. With a strong sports background in football and athletics, both as a player and coach, he brings plenty of practical expertise to the team. Jake also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia. Working with SSO is an opportunity to combine his two passions – sport and numbers – to deliver exceptional customer service to client schools.
Steve Kenworthy, VIC Schools Liaison Officer
Steve joined Sport Staff One in 2020 to strengthen our relationship with schools and school sport associations across Victoria. Following 21 years as the Executive Officer of EISM, Steve understands the high-pressure role of Head/Director of Sport in schools and the importance of providing professional and reliable sport staff. Steve was also involved in the establishment of the former Catholic All Schools (CAS) association as well as the School Sport Associations Victoria (SSAV) group.
Tony Danzi, WA Schools Liaison Officer
Tony started with Sport Staff One as a basketball referee and has since performed several roles including observing sport staff in Perth schools and inducting coaches/officials. Tony formally joined us in 2019 to build relationships with WA schools and develop service delivery. He brings experience through playing, coaching and refereeing at Kalamunda Districts Basketball Association (33 years) and coordinating referees at the Herb Graham Rec Centre in Mirabooka (10 years).
Kyden Anderson, WA Sport Staff Observer
Kyden joined Sport Staff One as a football (AFL) umpire and basketball referee, and is currently studying a Diploma in Sports & Recreation. He is also an Assistant Umpire Manager at the Royals District (AFL) and has four years’ experience in umpire coaching. Kyden’s role is to observe SSO sport staff in schools and provide feedback in order to maintain a reliable and professional service.
James Ralston, SA Schools Liaison
James joined Sport Staff One in 2017 to manage our client relationships in South Australia. As an Adelaide local, James’ knowledge of schools and sporting organisations is a huge asset to the company. He brings industry experience as a sports coaching business owner, Australian Rules Football umpire and SANFL umpire coach. James has been instrumental in establishing operations and networks across SA, as well as contributing to national service delivery and development.
Hinam Mehra, IT Manager
Hinam joined Sport Staff One in 2017 to manage our IT infrastructure and website development. As a company that relies heavily on technology to deliver services, Hinam's expertise in web development, coding and design is highly valued. She has a Bachelors in Computing & Software Systems from the University of Melbourne and has experience in developing IT platforms for a range of businesses.
Keith Buxton, Active City Sports Coordinator
Keith joined Sport Staff One in 2019 to manage our corporate sport competition called Active City Sports (ACS). He brings over seven years’ experience running recreational programs, so establishing the lunchtime competition was an opportunity to utilise his skills. Keith continues to grow ACS by expanding into new locations and offering more sports like dodgeball, volleyball, netball, soccer and basketball.
